Partner Marketing Manager

  • Salary: £35,000 - £45,000pa DOE

The Opportunity:

As a key member of the marketing team the successful candidate will act as the main connection between the business and external partners/vendors, responsible for building & nurturing partner relationships, and continuously aligning strategies to business priorities. You will work in close collaboration with the internal strategic and commercial teams to develop and manage the execution of funded marketing plans and activities, reporting performance against KPIs, and where appropriate source additional routes for campaign funding to supplement the existing contractual partnerships.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Marketing & Relationship Management:
  • Work closely with the partners/vendors (and internal commercial teams) to develop a comprehensive understanding of their focuses, requirements, and objectives.
  • Develop detailed strategies/briefs for the internal marketing team to execute, consistently ensuring alignment of both partner and the business’ goals and objectives.
  • Present proposed campaigns to partners/vendors, emphasising key synergies, tactics, and commercial objectives.
  • Act as the bridge between the partner/vendor and manage feedback provided received regarding vendor/product branding and communicate back to the internal marketing team.
  • Commercial Strategy & Funding Management:
  • Identify additional funding sources within existing/new partner/vendor networks where appropriate and support marketing efforts in delivering on key submission dates, ensuring funding opportunities are maximised.
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of marketing funds from initial conversation to invoice and payment, aiming to secure repeat funding by meticulous planning and delivering to an exceptionally high standard.
  • Follow the appropriate process of submitting MDF plans to the relevant internal and external stakeholders, communicating approval statuses where required.
  • Work closely with accounts to manage allocation of funds against activities and submit activity/proof of execution for invoicing.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting:
  • Work closely with partners/vendors to understand their reporting requirements, identify expectations, measurements of success, and continuously nurture each relationship to ensure longevity.
  • Develop reports for both internal and external stakeholders on the use of partner funds and performance/ROI of funded activities against expectations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous campaign planning / budgeting focussed Marketing Lead role or similar is essential.
  • Technology Reseller, VAR, Vendor, Channel, or similar experience would be highly beneficial.
  • Account Director or similar role in Agency with management of multiple clients with varying budgets would be considered for the right candidate.
  • Experience managing budgets/funds and allocating activities to meet commercial objectives.
  • Experience managing internal and external stakeholder relationships, translating objectives and aligning business priorities into campaign strategies.
  • Previous experience developing tailored reports using Google Analytics, digital marketing platforms, and sales reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of working to a shared goal with multiple third parties.
