I had worked with Janet in a former role where she had identified some very good people for our sales team, so I knew that I could trust her and her team to support me and other departments in Jigsaw24 with our recruitment requirements, in both our Nottingham and London offices.
Marmion's people do what others claim to do but rarely actually do. It is truly refreshing, they consider what is best for our business and for the candidate and as a result we don’t waste time reading irrelevant CVs or interviewing people who won’t succeed in role. In fact, it’s true to say that if Matt or Janet recommend someone to us they will almost certainly be interviewed, and on a ratio of 1:1 or 2:1 offered a job. The important thing for me and my colleagues is that when a candidate arrives for an interview they are really engaged and definitely want the job, so when offered they stay and become valued members of our business very quickly. It is a definite advantage to have a recruitment consultancy who is not limited to one sector or specialism. Whilst we need people who understand and enjoy the ‘Tech’ world, as a business we welcome people with fresh ideas and transferable skills, which ensures that we remain accessible and open to a diverse range of talent. Marmion gets this, and because over time they have developed a good understanding of who will fit into our culture and will likely succeed, they keep an open mind when assessing applications on our behalf.
