This is a key role working closely with suppliers, the Technical Manager, internal teams and global customers to ensure all products are safe, compliant, and manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Product Technologist - Tin & Packaging Safety

Key Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review tin specifications and technical product documentation
  • Conducting product risk assessments, particularly for tins containing electronics, moving parts or decorative mechanisms
  • Ensuring products meet relevant country-specific safety standards, including toy and electrical compliance
  • Managing the quality control and product inspection processes
  • Maintaining and updating internal compliance records and technical files

Key Skills:

  • Background working in product safety / quality assurance / technical compliance within an FMCG company
  • Ideally from packaging, consumer goods, toy, electronics accessory, or craft gifting industry
  • High levels of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication and documentation abilities
  • Process-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and with a team
  • Able to interpret regulations, standards and technical documentation
  • Experience working within a BRC business would be highly beneficial
