E-commerce Operations Coordinator

We are supporting a niche, fast-growing performance sportswear brand in the search for an E-Commerce Operations Coordinator as they continue to expand their global ecommerce presence. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of ecommerce operations, supporting order fulfilment, customer service, and operational administration. The role will support continued growth across Shopify, Amazon, and an expanding network of distribution partners throughout Europe and Asia.

The successful candidate will be the operational backbone of the business, ensuring orders are processed efficiently, customers receive a high level of service and internal processes run seamlessly. This role is ideal for an organised, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the centre of a small, ambitious and dynamic team.   • £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience
  • Hybrid Working - Wetherby (3 office days per week)
  • 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and prioritise incoming communications across multiple channels, ensuring customer enquiries and operational requests are handled efficiently.
  • Process daily customer orders accurately and efficiently through ecommerce platforms, supporting a seamless purchasing experience from order through to delivery.
  • Coordinate shipping and fulfilment activities, ensuring orders are dispatched on time and in line with customer expectations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to enquiries relating to orders, deliveries, products, sizing, and returns.
  • Manage customer returns, exchanges, and refunds, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
  • Support the day-to-day administration of a busy ecommerce operation, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with the management of Amazon and other marketplace channels, helping to maintain performance standards and support international growth.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of operational processes, systems, and customer experience initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across operations, customer service, warehousing, and fulfilment to ensure the smooth running of the business.
  • Support the maintenance of internal documentation, procedures, and operational resources as the business continues to scale.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience in an ecommerce, operations, customer service, administration, or order fulfilment role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Confident using ecommerce platforms, CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail when managing orders, customer information, and administrative tasks.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Comfortable following established procedures while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to remain organised and productive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
  • A collaborative team player who is happy to support colleagues and contribute across different areas of the business.
  • Resilient and calm under pressure, particularly during periods of increased customer demand and seasonal peaks.
  • Candidates must have a permanent Right to Work in the UK. Please note, our client cannot offer visa sponsorship for this position.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience using Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central and online marketplace operations.
  • Experience working within a product-based, retail, DTC (direct-to-consumer), or ecommerce business.
  • Knowledge of shipping, fulfilment, and returns processes.
  • Experience supporting international ecommerce operations or distribution partners.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, stock control, or product barcoding systems.
  • Previous experience working within a small, fast-growing business or entrepreneurial environment.
  • A personal interest in sportswear, endurance sports, triathlon, cycling, running, or related industries.
