They hold top tier accreditations with all the major vendors and have a vast existing client base comprised of Corporate, Education/Public Sector, Media & Entertainment, and IT Partners. CANDIDATE BRIEF

Our ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within an MSP, VAR, Vendor or Distributor, managing, selling, and growing a client base within the Education sector. This role offers a clear progression route with a strong network of internal support from the team. You will be extremely self-motivated, highly commercially astute, and your success will be underpinned by your ability to form strong, trusted, and consultative relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Business development activity to source new business within the Education sector, specifically HE & FE, using a variety of methods including warm/cold calls, email outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, etc.
  • Use the database of lapsed/dormant clients that have previously purchased from the business, re-qualify these accounts and prospect where appropriate to turn these back into lucrative trading accounts.
  • Build strong and lasting client relationships with account base using a consultative approach and excellent customer service.
  • Identify opportunities within new and existing clients by gaining an insight into their IT roadmap and understanding challenges/pain-points, with the goal of offering considered and relevant technology solutions, products, and services.
  • Using internal expertise, vendor/supplier relationships, and own research, stay on top of industry trends and offer insight to clients and potential customers.
  • Create and maintain an accurate sales-pipeline and forecast, report these to senior leadership team with detail on deal progress and feasible close dates.

We would like to hear from candidates who:

  • 2+ years within a Sales/Business Development role within a technology MSP, VAR, Vendor or Distributor selling into the Education sector is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and justify to stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience with working to targets and creating/maintaining an accurate sales pipeline/forecast.
  • Excellent account management and customer service skills.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and friendly personality, with a forward-thinking and innovative attitude.
