Sales & Marketing Executive

We are searching for a commercially minded Sales & Marketing Executive to join an established manufacturer of specialist technical products. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to a sales function, building strong partner relationships and turning technical information into clear, effective commercial and marketing activity.

The Role

Working closely with commercial and technical teams, and external marketing partners, you will be responsible for building and developing relationships with new, existing, and lapsed clients. You’ll take

ownership of customer and pipeline data, manage distributor and reseller relationships, coordinate quotations and tenders and support the delivery of marketing content.

This is not a high-volume cold-calling role. Success will come from relationship development and being analytical, organised and proactive, with the confidence to work autonomously in a long-established business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualify incoming sales enquiries and manage opportunities, quotations and customer requirements through to completion.
  • Develop productive relationships with distributors, resellers, channel partners and end customers.
  • Re-engage lapsed customers and identify opportunities for sustainable growth across the existing partner network.
  • Maintain accurate customer and pipeline information across the CRM and ERP systems, improving data quality and reporting.
  • Coordinate tenders, quotes, and sales proposals, collating technical and commercial information from internal teams.
  • Work with external marketing agencies to plan and support digital marketing activity, including website content, email campaigns, search visibility and social media.
  • Work with technical, design and product development colleagues to create and maintain datasheets, manuals, brochures and product training materials.
  • Gather and report customer, competitor and market intelligence to support commercial decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain effective sales and marketing processes, procedures and supporting documentation.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience in a sales, marketing, or commercially focused role, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment.
  • Experience working with distributors, resellers, or channel partners.
  • Confidence in interpreting technical product information and presenting it clearly to commercial partners and prospects.
  • A strong understanding of customer relationship management, sales processes and pipeline administration.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of CRM and ERP systems, Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with Sage 200 would be advantageous.
  • A self-starting approach, with the ability to take direction and then work independently to deliver results.

The Candidate

If you are an organised and commercially aware sales and marketing professional who enjoys working with technical products and building long-term partner relationships, we would be delighted to hear from you.
