Tax Assistant Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional looking to develop their career within a supportive, close-knit environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients
  • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns
  • Providing tax compliance and advisory support to a varied client base
  • Supporting clients with tax planning opportunities and tax-efficient structures
  • Assisting with HMRC correspondence and enquiries
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and contribute to departmental growth

About You

We're interested in speaking with individuals who are keen to develop their career within a progressive and collaborative practice environment.

You may be:

  • An experienced Tax Senior looking to take the next step into management
  • An existing Assistant Manager seeking a fresh challenge
  • A tax professional with mixed tax experience and a particular interest in corporate tax

Essential Requirements:

  • ATT, ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
  • Strong understanding of UK tax compliance
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Proactive approach with a genuine desire to learn and develop
  • UK resident with permanent, unrestricted Right to Work in the UK.

Desirable Experience:

  • Corporate tax compliance and advisory work
  • Exposure to SDLT, employment taxes, payroll taxes or wider business taxation matters
  • Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members
