OUR CLIENT

Our client is a market-leading, fully certified, and accredited provider of fire safety and security systems to some of the largest organisations around the country. Its reputation has been built on firm foundations of strong business relationships and outstanding customer care within the commercial sector, which has resulted in steady and significant growth. Following a recent acquisition by a Private Equity backed organisation, our client is now looking to further enhance their impressive growth. As such, we have been tasked with searching for a Financial Manager.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious finance professional to join a growing organisation and play a pivotal part in their future financial success. This role reports directly into the Divisional Financial Controller and will require you to develop senior relationships across the group. You will be responsible for reporting all monthly financial matters to the board, alongside the management of our client’s finance team. You will be required to take a hands-on role in the financial running of the business, including the preparation and review of budgets/forecasts, management accounts and year-end audit.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Management of the finance team, ensuring all company financial obligations are efficiently executed and providing monthly reports to the board.
  • Undertaking all financial responsibilities, including P&L, cash flow, forecasts, balance sheets, credit control, monthly payroll, VAT returns etc.
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts.
  • Providing budget analysis and reporting to the board of directors.
  • Assisting the Divisional Financial Controller in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.

 

THE CANDIDATE

Our ideal candidate will be an ambitious and knowledgeable Finance Manager, preferably with a relatable financial qualification. You will have prior experience reporting to management teams with the presentation and preparation of all financial matters. You will have developed a strong technical understanding and will have successfully motivated teams to produce high-quality data. You will be a tenacious individual with excellent commercial acumen and possess strong communication and presentation skills.

 

We would love to speak to candidates who can demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience within a financial department, including management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of Sage 50, and other financial platforms; CASH system experience is desirable.
  • Either qualified or part-qualified – ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • A process orientated and analytical mindset with the ability to explain complex concepts and information clearly and effectively.
  • A history of success managing an ever-changing workload and multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with a strong work ethic, a desire to learn and commitment to lead by example.
  • Exceptional attention to detail that improves forecast integrity, balanced with the ability to see the financial plan in total to be able to articulate the business strategy.
