OUR CLIENT

Our client is a Harrogate super brand who produce a globally recognised product within the FMCG industry.  Their award-winning and distinctive product is manufactured on their Harrogate site and distributed to premium brands across the UK and beyond. As a result of their impressive international recognition, they now have plans to further increase their manufacturing capabilities and as such are searching for a Multiskilled Engineer to join their talented team.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a technical role where you will be required to provide electrical and mechanical engineering support to our clients manufacturing facility. This impressive factory produces millions of units weekly and therefore it is essential that operations are run as efficiently as possible. Your role as engineer will be to continuously monitor and report on all equipment performance, alongside maintaining and repairing plant and equipment when necessary.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Fault finding, repairs and maintenance on high speed, automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Undertaking reactive and planned maintenance on a range of specialist and high-tech machinery.
  • Ensuring all engineering procedures are adhered to including Health and Safety, hygiene, and general housekeeping.
  • Observing, recognising, and reporting on machinery and component defects or symptoms of impending failure, escalating potential problems to the Engineering Manager.
  • Highlighting opportunities for improvement in the maintenance plan and/or failure of components.
  • Ensuring the equipment is operated in the defined manner to produce products to specification.
  • Contributing to continuously improving operational efficiency.

 

THE CANDIDATE

Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing environment within the FMCG industry, preferably food and beverage. You will be adept in electrical and mechanical maintenance with solid automated process control/PLC experience and servo motor control knowledge.

 

We would love to speak to candidate who can demonstrate the following:

  • Electrical fault finding and installation/testing.
  • Ability to replace set up inverters/controllers.
  • Mechanical servicing and repairs – Welding/turning.
  • Understanding of site services: Compressors, steam boilers, water treatment, electrical distribution.
  • Electrical/Mechanical City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.
  • Understanding of network control ASi systems.
  • PLC programming experience: Siemens, Allen Bradley.
  • Process control fault finding.
