Project Manager

FMCG | International Supply Chain | Blue-Chip Retail Accounts

Ringwood, Hampshire

The Role

Working alongside an experienced account management team, this role sits at the heart of project delivery for multiple blue-chip retail accounts. Whilst account managers retain commercial ownership of projects, you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution. Working across international supply chain projects, and collaborating with various internal teams, you will be responsible for ensuring projects move seamlessly from initial concept through to delivery.

You’ll be heavily involved in:

  • Managing long lead-time FMCG projects (often 12 months from concept to delivery).
  • Owning timelines, critical paths, Gantt charts, and milestones.
  • Coordinating across an international supply chain, including factories in China, a Hong Kong office, UK warehousing, and global suppliers.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for internal teams, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.
  • Proactively identifying risks, solving problems, and delivering projects on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Account Managers on major FMCG retail accounts.
  • Managing orders and project timelines from development through to delivery.
  • Keeping customers informed and managing expectations around timeframes and deliverables.
  • Managing, tracking, and reporting of project progress throughout the supply chain to ensure on time delivery.
  • Liaising closely with planning, logistics, technical, warehousing, and design teams.
  • Briefing internal design teams and managing client feedback.
  • Ensuring compliance across product specs, labelling, languages, and technical requirements.
  • Producing accurate documentation, specifications, presentations, and reports.

The Candidate

This is a hands-on, detail-driven role that would suit someone who thrives in the fast-paced world of consumer goods and have gained a solid understanding around the realities of FMCG project delivery.

We’re searching for candidates who can display the following:

  • Proven experience in a project manager role within FMCG or similar industries.
  • Prior experience within with blue-chip or large retail customers.
  • Strong understanding of timelines, critical paths, and supply chain coordination.
  • Confident dealing with international suppliers and multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Exceptional administrative skills.
  • Highly organised, process-driven, and calm under pressure.
  • A natural problem-solver who enjoys diving into the detail.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with long lead-time products.
  • Exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Creative or design-led project experience alongside technical delivery.
