Site General Maintenance Operative

We’re Searching for a Site General Maintenance Operative to join a FMCG Manufacturer in Harrogate.

Key Benefits:

  • £23,400 pa, dependant on experience - (£12ph)

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of our client’s site. You will report into the Engineering Manager and work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure that both internal and external facilities are kept in good working order and follows the overall health and safety plan. If you have a background in joinery or site maintenance and are looking to join a growing business and develop a career, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day maintenance of the site and all facilities, internal and external.
  • Carrying out minor maintenance and repair work when required.
  • Undertaking preventative measures to ensure facility is in good working order.
  • Undertaking local deliveries and spare parts collection, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Working collaboratively with the Engineering team and taking ownership of smaller projects.
  • Routine checks and maintenance tasks, such as Fire Alarm testing, Legionella compliance, Plant Room Cleanliness and Company vehicle upkeep, and ensuring corrective action as appropriate.

Key Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and general DIY skills.
  • Joinery and site maintenance experience.
  • Safety focused approach to work.
  • A full clean driving licence.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and projects.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of projects and seeing through to completion.
