Our client is a well-established independent investment management business who provide portfolio management, stockbroking, and financial planning services to private clients. Due to their impressive and sustained growth in assets under management and their increasing client base across the UK, we have an exciting opportunity for Junior Investment Managers to join this team of investment professionals who will help nurture and develop your career.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a great opportunity for individuals who have started to undertake their studies toward being a qualified Investment Manager and are looking for a firm who are committed to the growth and development of its people. You will work under the guidance of experienced industry professionals and will actively be encouraged to continue in your own personal growth, whilst being exposed to discretionary investment management. In this role you will be actively supported whilst continuing in your professional qualifications.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in managing clients’ investments and providing advice to meet clients’ objectives within the scope of their declared risk profile and in line with the firm’s Asset Allocation process and Outliers reporting and Client Suitability requirements.
  • Representing the company to clients, potential clients, and introducers of clients at the highest standard necessary to develop the business in accordance with strategic and financial objectives.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of compliance in keeping with the company’s obligations to clients, counterparties, and the regulator.
  • Assisting with building and maintaining strong and successful client relationships.
  • Being instrumental in introducing new funds under management into the business.
  • Developing own professional expertise through on the job training, formal training, and professional qualifications.

 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Working towards CISI Investment Advice Diploma (Level 4) or above.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and commitment to lead by example.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to explain technical information clearly and effectively.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and use initiative whilst effectively prioritising and multi-tasking.
